AEROSMITH: Holmdel Performance Footage Available

August 26, 2010

Fan-filmed video footage of AEROSMITH performing its classic song "Back In The Saddle" on August 24, 2010 in Holmdel, New Jersey can be viewed below.

As previously reported, AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler got into a shoving match with a crowd of autograph seekers who got a little too rowdy outside the Trump Hotel in New York City, according to TMZ.com. Tyler was instantly rushed by the crowd as he arrived at the hotel, and when one of his entourage started shoving back at the mob someone grabbed and began to choke the man from behind. Tyler himself stepped in to break things up and calm the crowd down, while also reading the crowd the riot act about the proper way to ask for an autograph.

Tyler and his group were then escorted by security into the hotel.

Video footage of the incident has been posted on TMZ.com.

In other news, the Syracuse Post-Standard reported that less than half the available tickets have been sold for AEROSMITH's Thursday night (August 26) concert at the New York State Fair's Mohegan Sun Grandstand. The band was guaranteed a record $1 million for the gig, but as of Sunday night (August 22) only 8,500 out of 17,000 tickets have been bought for the show.

With an average price of $94, promoters needed to sell another 2,100 tickets by Thursday to make the band's fee.

AEROSMITH has been on the road in the U.S. this summer for the first time since a turbulent year in which last year's canceled tour, Tyler's trip to rehab and his public feud with the rest of the group threatened their continued existence.

The singer is reportedly joining "American Idol" as a judge this fall, although his participation has yet to be officially announced.
